That is my most sincerest apology to all of you.

Yes, I declared that my blog is NOT dead... it was just in a coma. So, finally I've decided to post something out though I don't expect it to be extraordinary. Currently, I'm in Kuching yet again after completing my first semester in the GOD FORSAKEN place called PERTH. If you parents ever suggested to go to Perth, reject immediately. Honestly, it just suck ballz bad.

So I graduated from my Foundation years and now pursuing my studies in Commerce/Computer Science. Commerce.. is plain boring especially accounting. Why? Because NOT only you have to balance figures whole day but you have to see all this boring and weird ass terms; P/L Summary (Penis & Lanjiao), Lubrication and so on.

How about Computer Science? Heard its FREAKING COOL, you get to create games, build monster machines to support Crysis, create flash video and games and create awesome websites.

Anyone tells you that is a FREAKING FOOL. You get to delv into less COOL than it sounds coding languages named after a Coffee, JAVA and from a failed physics equation, C++ & C# and those wierd other codes. It's like learning Mandarin all over again. Take for example (avoid syntax errors please);

Anyway, all I'm going to tell you now is to pick your courses wisely, especially those furthering their studies overseas which cost pretty much as their grandmama's property today for just a single degree course. And for those who picked their decisions wrongly but have a chance to change before they inccur a bigger expense at your budget, do change it quick. You do not want to be wasting your LIFE on something as stupid as CHEMICAL ENGINEERING which reduces your lifespan by half cause your like breathing chemicals the rest of your life. WOOPS! Did I say something offensive?

Ain’t lifes a bitch? Personally I think that it’s pretty much unfair that pure freedom is in between pure foul agony. I’ll be sitting some big ass exam called WAUFP which is something similar to SPM. And basically the jist of it is; if you screwed this up, your dead, no future, no fcuking life and no dreams.

“Screw it I say” Struggle for this few last days and your home free.

If it wasn’t for Borderlands and Torchlight keeping me away from my books, I’ll gladly spend 6 hours in front of books everyday. Well I actually did barely touch any of the games but temptation grows stronger everytime I proceed to my subjects. Think about it;

When your reading Physics projectiles;

You started thinking of projectile weapons

When your sucking up to Applicable sets;

You started thinking of purple inventory items to collect to boost up your stats tremendously

When your bitching over Chemistry acids and bases;

As the time I’m writing now, there is 27 more days before I reach to the end of my journey… AWW CUT THE CRAP.

I’m going to see all those peeps back in Kuching and finally get to experience Malaysia like a Malaysian. As you may wondered, why am I going all goofy on somewhat a BORING AND INDECENT place like Kuching? Let ME tell you one thing, when you live somewhere else, you do have this sense of insecurity inside oneself and you feel loneliness that you may have never experience.

Gone are the days that I remember that my school toilet cubicles were labelled as “Bilik Termenung 1”, “Bilik Termenung 2”, etc from graffiti by our beloved creative students (Malaysian students often fantasize their ‘ ~~wet~~ dreams’ awfully too ‘real’ in toilets) Apparently, Australians also do in fact have this urge to do the same art.

Sorry about my absence lately. Been lazy these couple of weeks but I finally updated my blog with an entry that I always wanted to post since I came here. And you guess it (alternatively it’s already stated in the title), it is about consumables.

When you first arrive in Australia, you will thought that it will be in a bustle of clean restaurants, fine dining popping up every mile, finger licking good fast food and corner wine stores, and yes all of that is certainly true. Though, it lacks of one important ingredient that made most Asian countries unique in taste. That is;

Why would anyone like a store filled with blood sucking mosquitoes, dense filled brown cockroaches, non air-condition buildings, dirty plastic tables and sound pollution in every degrees?

One word, distinctiveTASTE. (That’s one word aint’ it?")

Whether they poured detergent all over our mee kolo, you will never ever get to obtain that same taste in Australia at ALL. The environment itself is non comparable with the “Back to Nature” surroundings that Malaysia has. Music itself also isn’t enough to do battle with those soothing ‘Apek and Ama” talk you hear at every kopitiam (Coffee Shop).

N – Necessities (If you keep on selling noodles rather than Mee in stores, nothing can be done)

With the availability of friends in Perth close to zero due to the fact that many smelly rich kids went back to M’sia without me, I had to throw myself into an overload and spent my time with this band of brothers.

Holidays are an utter pleasure for some people but it definitely will sink your budget into an overdrive and even more if you are in somewhere new. Take an example, a spindrift female in KL. Though I can’t say more that holidays was indeed enjoyable and sinful at best. My diet wasn’t curbed at all with frequent fast food outings and polysaturated French fries.

Consequently, everything had an ending. Holidays do end abruptly as a matter of fact. Whether or not time passes by when individuals are having fun or rather God has trick up his sleeves, holidays are probably defined as something unusual and meaningless if that was the case. You do not gain anything in return instead you daddys money for unbeneficial activities. I am one humbly who do not agree with that.

Holidays are a time for relaxation and freedom. Breaking apart one souls to the environment rather than work loads on just computers and books. Somewhat I did understand people tend to be merely more busy during the holidays going out rather than during their exams. That’s because people find it enjoyable. If studies or university courses are enjoyable such as that, they too will look forward to school itself.

A time where people have the right to choose what they wanted to do, innovate and pretend. Now, it’s all about being pretenders of our very souls to each of everyone. Who gives a damn if you had money? That’d make other people happy but do you really need that much money if your spending half of your life doing something that you hate?

Go figure if you were to live your life 24 hours a day with 1/3 of the time spending on your job. Your not sane if you pick something that you didn’t like at all.

Holidays are closely related to work and ultimately, college. They work with each other to tell us something. A time to think. A time to choose. A time to conclude. And of course, a time for relaxation. This holiday meant much to me as much as some other pesky mosquitoes lurking in the shadows wanting my blood. It’s a feeling that you can’t forget.

That said, I did had feelings before the holiday. Feelings of insecurity, feelings of hopelessness, feelings of lust, feelings of desire and feelings of deviation from real life. Those feelings never did get me through this holiday smiling every moment but even with that, I did smiled outright inspite of everything’s going to hell. I enjoyed it and learnt something amidst of all the thing that is not going according to plan. I am contented.

People must be wondering, that Bryan must be one ‘hell of a rich bastard’ to afford such an expensive phone. I’ll definitely say nay to that. Though the real purpose of this post is to tell all those unconventional and pessimist human beings that the phone that you seem to look down upon so much, that there is no competition at all. Oh noes? Am I turning to a Apple Geek like Steve Jobs? Not entirely, but I’ll tell you one thing, especially to Nokia, Sony Erricson, Motorola and all those other crappy brands hardcore fans that this phone, SUCK BALLS HARD (Though in a good way).

The phone which I am going to tell you all about is none other than the magnificent Apple iPhone 3G 16GB.

This review is dedicated to those nay-sayers and cynic uneducated people that giving a go with new things aren’t that bad. I never regretted in having this phone and this review will convince you that this phone is agitated to be the top of the ladder, unless it is already one.

Basically, the iPhone is a touchscreen phone that has one of the best, user-friendly, responsive touch response ever. Try comparing it with other phones, the iPhone beats it hands down. Apple invented the touchscreen anyway so there’s evidence there by itself.

The built itself is not only on par with the slimmest phone but girls will often be jealous of it’s slim properties it has. And to think of it, so much it can do packed into a slim phone like that? Incredible.

Nevertheless, the main charm of the phone is it’s ever glaring bright colours that seem to captivate people as soon as they touch it. With a ever user-friendly interface of just moving your fingers over the ‘body’,pushing the ‘right’ buttons, grasping on its slim ‘texture’, gasping at its '’applications’, it will soon want your ‘attention’ and ‘affection’ every minute.

Honestly, the 2.0 Megapixel is suffice to say able to even beat its 3.2 Megapixels counterparts. It does very well in taking in bright places and even in low light. I do not have pictures to proof it to you, but do trust me, it is worth the shot even the box stated 2.0 Megapixel which should actually be 2.0>3.2 Megapixel.

MMS? That is already solved in the new 3.0 update for the iPhone.

On the side note, there is no autofocus. Too bad I guess

Someone said it’s a crime to have too many applications in a phone. It does ultimately lag most Nokia Phones if there is too many applications in a phone but why worry if you have the iPhone. You can never have enough!

That brings me yet to another point, the iPhone can serve any purpose. Unless you hope it do your homework, you are out of luck. Though it can still do a bunch of cool stuff like;

Inspite of all those halfass reviews telling that there is an iPhone killer everytime, there is barely anything that matches up to it. Blackberry Storm? Beaten. Nokia 5800? Beaten. That Google Andriod whatiscall phone? Beaten.

It even gets better when you do JAILBREAK your phone. Something like the crack that you get from games. You can download applications for free, put wallpapers behind your applications (which actually cannot be done), change your themes, crack ringtones and so much other things. Though people who want to do this have to go through a set of complicated rules but I’m glad to share this knowledge with a price. (My previous ‘teacher’ didn’t charge me so I am just being evil)

I am going to miss my 7610 Supernova….

So why go spend your father and mummy’s allowance on cheap phones. Go for this phone. You will never regret it.

Though I have to remind you that the iPhone 3G(S) is coming out soon so it’s better that you wait for the new one which is fitted with a 3.0>5.2 Megapixel Camera. Previous owners though can easily upgrade their phones to 3.0 for more features.

For that I end my brief, incomprehensive review of the iPhone.

DO NOT BELIEVE THOSE LIES YOU HEAR FROM YOUR TUTORS OR TEACHERS. COLLEGE LIFE IS NOT ANY BETTER THAN SECONDNARY SCHOOL BUT IT IS ALOT MORE HELLISH WORST.

That only possibly applies to me cause I am the one who made this awful yet fruitful decision to come in April for the April Start.

Imagine, half past six, you wake up feeling giddy from the homework you done yesterday and you quickly get ready to catch a bus in like about an hour before it arrives.

In college, you will be shivering your pants and shirt of due to the cold weather in autumn even with all that thick clothing you have on. After a few minutes, you will be rushed to a classroom and beckon to listen to the lecturers whether they care or not. Your homework piles up.

After the first session of agony, you again will be rushed to another so called classroom to do more studying and absorbing. With your favoured pen running out of ink that only sells in Kuching, you are forced to use other materials to succeed to the teachers needs. Your homework piles up even more.

Whereas when it reaches Lunch Break, you noticed that you have 20 to 30 minutes to ‘enjoy’ your freaking meal before going to another class because of some nerds bright idea to decrease our time so that we can spend more time doing Applicable Maths.

Your homework piles up yet again.

Then when you thought you are free to go, you looked at your watch and it says there, a quarter past 5 in the evening. You have nothing much to do but go back by bus, and eat your meal then go back to your homestay to do all your homework and possibly do some of your assignments plus your studies as well (Facebook is part of my homework though).

Your brain slowly undergoes mental retardation and miniature sizing before it reaches a absolute hypertonic type solution. Your bodily fluids starts to flow backwards then your eyes start to turn blue. A pair of glasses popped out in front of your eyes, your clothing suddenly become alot more skimpy, then your shirts tucked in all of the sudden. You look yourself at the mirror while holding a chess piece, “YOU LEVELED UP INTO A NERD”.

Kuching University students, you better count yourself lucky for not coming here. It is mental torture here. You will be not only tested, you will be fried.

Perth in Review (Part 1)

Why so busy lately?

Have been busy dodging bombs. (FIY, SOY means Soil on You or in other words, Shit on YOU)

Perth is as a matter of fact, a great place to live though there is not much ‘Hua Na” roaming the streets anymore. ~~Thank goodness. Terrorism be gone~~ Whether it is a good thing for some people, there is still those Aussie Slang running around your mind every now and then. You will receive heaps on greetings containing, “Luv”, “Darling”, “Sweetie” and the all famous “Teddy Bear". I am not a cute cuddly toy mind you but they Aussies don’t really take those words seriously as to their real definition.

Nevermind about that I say. They wont rape me that’s for sure. Right?

Like I said, “~~No Hua Na, no terrorism"~~

Another thing is, those fences or jail bars that we seem to cage around our homely home are long gone in Australia (Well in some cases). They are not inviting any robberies or rape cases and some sort, it cause crime in Australia is more well controlled than Malaysia. You walk at 12 midnight and what do you see? No shady man, no massacres, no nothing (Well, I still don't recommend you to walk at that time of night). Though aggressive drivers are more likely to be seen in Australia.

In Malaysia, the car chases are a bore compared to Perth. Don’t you find it awkward that a car chase have a ninety percent chance that the car they are chasing is a KANCIL? I mean seriously, they don’t make movies like Italian Job anymore. "Reporting a prime suspect in aggressive driving, a black Kancil driving at 90kmp/h. Calling in backup in Batu Tujuh. We may have duit kopi if we do catch them" depicting a actual car chase in Malaysia in English.

As I said previously, cars here such as brand new Mazda can be sold as cheap as a plain old junk called the Kancil. I am so sad that we all have been cheated all along. Say thanks to the Prime Minister of Modernization. He’s the one who came up with this brilliant idea.

Perth Public Transport in comparison with Kuching? Laudable

Besides all that ranting, there are also other things to be well kept aware of. The many places to visit in Perth of course. From Perth City itself, strolling over the famous Swan Lake, feeding seagulls at Fremantle Port, having a picnic at Kings Park, feeding yourself at Chinatown, getting lost at Curtin University, going Wind Surfing at the beach, and all in 30 to 1 hour drive from the suburbs, you can’t go wrong getting bore at this place. Though, night life here is particularly amiss in Perth. Most shops close at about 5.30pm. The agony for us, the bliss for those businessman.

Am I finally settled in Perth, Australia? Not entirely.

Anyway, totally very stupendous sorry for the late post. Been pretty busy lately. Trying to balance gaming, travelling, preparing and chatting is pretty hard. And finally now, I found time to blog! Yay.

I’ll make this post short and simple for suckers who never visited Australia, understandable.

Perth is something like Kuching.

Pretty similar ain’t it? (Sorry about the noise in the first picture. My camera can’t really take dark places)

Just that the buildings are taller, city is bigger, streets are bigger and a cleaner well kept river.

Though with all the similarities, is hard to say that Kuching is on par with Perth. In here, you can see that alot of immigrants from all over the world are here blabbering their own accent. From the Konichiwa type to the Brits, the ni hao ma and the ‘Au’ Fe’ De sen’ (I wonder how to spell that), you can find them in all sorts of skin colours. Still the majority is Australians of couse but its quite hard to tell whether they are citizens or coming from say America. ULTIMATELY, this proves that there is a reason they all flock to this enchanted bay. You know whats that?

My New Portable Beast

As for now, I currently inherited the Acer Blue Gemstone 6935G. This is what should be keeping me alive for the next five years. Hopefully it does last that long..

This is my first review in this blog and I intend to make this a good one. I’ll be looking in the Value, Performance, Design, User-Friendliness, Hardware, Software, Sound, Accessories Weight, Portability, Net Surfing and just about everything in this powerhouse machine.

Performance and Multi-Tasking

I have this laptop for about two weeks and it seems to be running quite fine without any BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) or frequent lag happening now and then. I normally run my Windows Messenger, Windows Media Player, Few tabs from Mozilla Firefox while posting this blog with Windows Live Writer with no cinch of lag. Besides that, with the provided resolution, 1920 x 1080 pixels, you can guarantee that you never have problems not being able to do stuff all at once.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 opens in like about 5 to 7 seconds the moment I click it as it loads all its resources. The Firefox on the other hand loads in about 3 to 2 seconds. Most Windows program though load in less than a second. But one thing I hate is it seems to show the Welcome screen after you access an account a little longer but its forgivable.

It also achieve a 4.9 rating for the Vista Experience Index.

Entertainment and Video

The sound system taking all the space up

From the picture above, you can see that it has an extra large sound system. Though if your one who love bass heavy songs, you may hear a slight interference every once in while but it’s not quite audible. But it has no problem with songs that are softer.

With a 16 inch screen at your disposal, you cannot give up trying to see the latest (pirated) movies with this machine. The picture is very crisp and sharp. I have no problems with playing DVD’s with the machine though I have not tried any blu-ray disc being it is to expensive for my puny budget.

Though, my main problems is the blu-ray disc drive seems to be making loads of noise while reading certain disc. The crackling sounds that you may hear may fright you for awhile and probably tempt you to take the disc out but I have not see any problems so far if you leave it in there. The drive can burn CD, DVD and most probably HD-DVD also but sadly it doesn't burn Blu-Ray disc.

The CineDash Media Console

Yes it does look very catchy and it works pretty catchy also. It seems like they stole this design from some Star Trek Movie and slap a sticker next to the keyboard. But it is not any sticker, but it is some flashy touch sensitive buttons so you won’t need to press or anything but just brush your fingers over it. It did have few problems when I wanted to change the volume though.

User-Friendliness and Design

The keyboard I would like to say is alot smaller than usual. You can see that the space bar seem to be cut off due to the space the CineDash Console taking part of the space. With that, for first time users, you may have some problem getting use to the keyboard but it is not impossible. But one thing I don’t really like is that dust or some other foreign object seem to like come out from nowhere and hide itself under the keyboard. The keyboard seem to have holes here and there. I don’t know whether it is dangerous or not to leave it in there but it is just so silly when you get bothered by the same thing you see every time you type.

Anyway, the power button looks very sci-fi like and that seems to make eye go ogle it everytime. The one thing I love more is the circular shinny oject at the side of the laptop where you plug in the power cable and probably also the blue illumination around the laptop. The touchpad material also follows the body of the laptop which is carbon fibre. Yes it does sound strange but it works well since it doesn’t spoil the design of the product. No wonder this lappy had won the Best Product Design of 2009 though it didn't win the Dust-Free Award.

So smexy!

The top/dashboard/or whatever you call it seems to be the most attractive feature of this laptop. But yes, it does collect alot of dust also and probably smudges from your hands. So be sure to wipe it almost every time which is getting pretty annoying.

The weight is about 3kg plus. That is pretty heavy for a laptop. But consider it has 16 inch screen it is pretty average in its category. Though with this weight, it can easily be as heavy as a desktop replacement. But the hardware inside the computer is not to be miss as it is the main reason that it is this heavy.

Gaming

With the 9600M GT, it does pretty well in gaming. With playable frame rates in games like L4D with medium-high settings and L4D in medium settings with about 60 Frames per second, I do say this is the best laptop which is bang for my buck with such a great graphics card. Though I didn’t benchmark much on this laptop but I do say, you can’t go wrong buying this laptop as a gaming machine.

Though I didn’t test this beast on Crysis or more of the top end games but this will certainly appeal to the casual gamers and possibly the hardcore gamers also.

Internet and other wireless capabilities

It has no trouble in connecting internet outside and WIFI. Though it is not tested thoroughly, but it does pretty well in finding connections outside. It also has Bluetooth for those who want send files in a jiffy from your phone.

It can view webpages with no problem as the resolution is ultimately quite big. Though it didn’t had JAVA the first time I got it.

The webcam was pretty fine and it takes pictures and videos also. Though be warn that the videos taken have a slight delay with the sound which is pretty annoying as you can’t record yourself if you intend using sound with it. The microphone was possibly hidden very well as I can’t find it but it does read sound pretty clearly even when afar.

Value

I bought this for 4499 (Though it got a discount of 99 bucks). With extended warranty of 3 years domestic only (add another 200), I say this may be the best laptop around with this kind of specifications. I did not regret as I have made this purchase and I will absolutely take care of it like its my baby.

Verdict

This is should be the best laptop at its price around and you can’t find it anywhere on other companies. I do say few things bother me but still it is easily forgettable as it brings so much that you can as well get from a desktop. I dare say that this will be something I can’t live without when I am at Aussie.

As the author, I want to take a time to do something more personal and more fulfilling to myself. As I engage on something quite sensitive to me, I wish the readers to take heart on what I am going to write. Though this post is not picture heavy and that proves to be one of my most ‘attractive’ feature of this blog, I do hope you appreciate that words are indeed as powerful as pictures itself. Bare with me please.

As you may have know that in sometime early April, I’ll be leaving to down under to further my studies. As this is my first time being overseas for about more than half a year, I have my doubts on succeeding in this awaited and painful journey. Due to the fact that I have been pressurize to the very last bit and made sure every detail of my trip to Aussie is planned accordingly, I also finally started to regret. I am not to say that this chance is plain useless to me as many people never even have got this chance to go overseas to study. I have to count myself a lucky person. But being lucky is another thing, when everything here will be simply left behind once your gone.

From family, friends, your most beloved pet, your most loved person, your awesome rig, your house, your daily life, your favourite food, your culture, your particularly everything have to be left behind. This is hard for me. I can accept changes, but when everything just come to you at once, it’s just hard. For some of my readers out there, I know you must be wondering.

“Who gives a damn about changes, you have the chance of a lifetime to be out there, alone, independent. You are finally free of all your troubles. Your finally going to lead a new life out there and not stuck in a third-world country like Malaysia”

What life I am going to lead. A successful one or a dreadful one? Freedom also comes with a price. Responsibility. With people around you cheering your back, people spending tens of thousands of AUD on you, people you love missing every bit of you, consequently, that is a big responsibility that you have to carry.

This is what I am experiencing right now. A life with many possibilities all undertaken by just one decision. A decision will ultimately change how the way you live and how the way you feel about yourself. I am certain that with every decision that you have made, the more you start to regret. And the more you regret, the more you will despair. But as all old grannys, uncles, friends, teachers, and most other human beings will say, it all comes from hard work that you will succeed with every big decision that you have made. I humbly agreed on that.

So to that, I finally ranted out something that I wish to say a long time ago. But before that, I wish to ultimately, thank my uncle for financing my studies in Australia. Without him, I can’t help it but have this feeling being overshadowed by my people around me. To my friends out there, I’m sorry for leaving you guys in the dirt, but I’ll come back soon enough. I’m terribly sorry. I feel the pain of leaving you guys as much as leaving myself from Kuching.

I currently had switched off all the lights in my house.. except the light emitting from my computer screen^^

So far, I only known 3 places that had switch off their lights, Four Points, Cold Storage and Petronas Gas Stations. In some speculations, those also inform me that MBKS Building also had already switch off their lights.

It was supposed to be lit brightly.

Though some of us are not so happy with the idea of switching every light. Like in my neighborhood..

Damai Puri Memoirs Finale

The final take and the finale that you have been waiting for. Took me quite some time before I decided to post it up due to many reasons. But who cares about details, it’s finally here.

Do me a favor and do not trust Nathaniels part of the story. His lies will only brainwash you.

Day 3

Our plan to wake up to see the sunset was screwed again cause we couldn’t bare to be awake at half past 5. And Nat was part of the crew that did say he didn’t want to wake up also. Put the blame on Soni. She kept us awake for too long. Damn you to the bits of every circuits you have.

This reason for our sinful act of ‘slothing’ around

We woke up early again to catch up with breakfast. The moment we set foot on the hardwood of Elements, all we saw was the foreigners which was busy lining up for food. And the line was as short as Nat’s “pen”. There was barely a chinese soul in the whole place. Though it feels a lil tweesy bit scary to be eating with all those tall people, we still preferred eating with less people. No need to be scrounging every fried potatoes that you see. Though we seem a little sad as this was our last day..

“So I was saying, Condom or Contraception?” Jeff uttered. BK in deep thought.

That is what Nat do in his free time. Gawk at people who are eating.

On a side note, we saw a small group of Malays or “Pau Tau’s” who looks to be a part of a political group. So, that is what they do to help the country??? Go figure.

After our faithful meeting in Elements, Nat said he wanted to some big business in the toilet. I wonder whether is starts with a letter M~~usterbate~~ or S~~hit~~. So me and Jeff went for another old folks session at the Activities area and went for some Congkak fun. It’s where you put marbles into many holes and you yourself tries to collect them in your own homebase hole. It’s simple really though it’s complicated to tell here.

When Nat is finally done with whatever he had to do, we walk all the way back to our crib to do some little packing of our own before heading out to the beach.

Not long after that, we were finally at the beach. Our first visit to the beach wasn’t that aspiring or memorable as we didn’t had much time to be swimming there. All we saw there was an overweight foreigner lady, a grandma I think who was bracing the waves and the locals playing some sort of futsal with no goal post.

The beach was much cleaner than the beach at Santubong Resort I can assure that.

For those people who are constantly emo, can come here to let out some steam

With all that fun to be had, we finally retire to the hotel, or only me who did that. The rest of the group for another round of swimming which I gladly skipped. We knew our time is up and we had to retreat to our safehouse back at Kuching. Our 600 was well spent excluding of all that food that we bought and the fuel that we ~~used~~ paid to Nat. Yes, it ended quite abruptly. Quite like a blow to our stomachs.

Not that but i mean..

Despair…

We marched onwards to the checkout counter with our overloaded luggage. We were about to resume our daily activities before the eye of the storm (SPM Result). With everything planned out, Jeff will continue trying valiantly to be Lin Dan and struggle in Form 6, Nat will be busy applying for scholarships in Chemical Engineering and joining those geeky ass science competitions and lastly Me, who will furthering studies in Perth sooner or later, we were even more ‘emo’. Those was very sad moments..

Though Nat was more worried about money that we had to split up and paid to Nat. Yes, its very true. A snobbish scholar who cares more about money than his friends… Sob

We packed our belongings to Nat’s "Proton or Perodua" (Due to CD's concern on my limited knowledge of Malaysian Cars and his overwhelming support in Malaysian Cars) Viva and drove off back to Kuching. That was the end of our trip to Damai Puri…

On another note, I just came back from KL. Pretty busy lately, worrying about my studies ahead and of course, the people around me…. Not forgetting my uber-awesome rig (And yes Nat, you can’t have it).

Yes, I have a powerhouse and gaming laptop.

Damai Puri Memoirs Part 2

The eagerly awaited Part 2 of the trip (Well, the “eagerly awaited” is kind of over exaggerated) is finally posted in the blog. Took quite awhile to bring this up its finally here.

Day 2

We planned to wake up like about 5 to see the sunset but it didn’t happen cause we did not want to wake our sorry asses at that time. So in the end, we only woke up at 8 with Nat’s lame wake up call so that we can be at breakfast in time. Although it took sometime to wake us up. By around 9am, were all ready to go with our hair looking so mess up of yesterdays chlorine. And since it was complimentary breakfast ticket, you can expect the place to be pretty packed.

Since it was worth alot to us, and the money we need to spend for the extra person is too much (RM46) for our shallow pockets, we just had to stuff everything we can in our stomachs. The result? Indigestion and probably a burping spree.. Though I can’t really burp well. Damn..

With all the food stuff away in our young blessed souls filled to the brim, we were in not position to go outdoors anymore for quite some time. The guitaring and ps2ing the room have to do the trick. To make matters worst, if it was not for the ventilation, we would have died cause lack of oxygen. Those fart noises from the toilet and the scent of dung was as radiated as poison. Though I kind of forget who did that xD

About 1pm we finally manage to crawl out of our room and went out for some outdoor activities that doesn’t require much eating. Though most of the activities we did seems like straight from the old folks home, we had our times.

After all that, we felt old. Guess we had to lightened our spirits with Table Tennis otherwise known as Ping Pong.

After all that, we felt hungry again. Duh.. We are growing boys so don’t complain about that. You can call all of us Jugheads but thats it. No fat jokes alright.

We took Nat’s Viva a ride to Buntal for lunch. This time, I fell asleep again. By the time we reach there, we met with many of the locals. One which interest us alot is the Buntal Ta ke (Buntal Big Brother/Boss). He kept on squirming out many funny quotes from hokkien and we couldn’t stop laughing.

Hungry people need food…

The wait was worth it though. With the many funny quotes, you couldn’t expect the food to be good but think again? It was plain and simply scrumptious and satisfying. You won’t find food like this in Kuching.

After like an hour there, we went to Santubong although we were not suppose to be there. But we pretended we are like guest or users of their facilities then went for a game of Pool.

After finally like a whole afternoon of being outside of Damai Puri, we finally went back to continue swimming. Consenquently, there was no one in the pool as we reach there since most of them should be back at their homes prepping to go work the next day. To our advantage, we imitated many wrestling moves in the pool for fun. To our dismay, we were always been watched by the lifeguard but we didn’t give a damn.

And I discovered something unexpected when both my friends told me.. I had this body built which look like six pax. WTF??? OMGWTFBBQ!

As it was getting dark, we went back to dry ourselves up and eat again! All we did in this trip was spent on eating actually. This time, we tried room service though it cost us quite a humungous amount of Malaysian Ringgit. I guess it was bang for our buck since it was like once in a lifetime. So we did what we had to… Chipped in our share again!

Some complicated Spaghetti Dish and some type of Oriental or Continental Chicken Dish.

After that, we went for Maggi Mee. And as for us, we decided to stray away from it cause we had too much of it. It was just… menacing. I was undecidedly bloated as hell after all that food and rested before we went out for another walk-walk again.

We were kinda emo during the walk as it was nearly the end of our trip. But still, we didn’t gave up our ways of cam-whoring!

As a get together farewell vacation before all of us separate, Jeffery studying Form 6 in Kuching, Nathaniel soon to be applying all those scholarship to go study abroad while me going to Western Australia, Perth to further my studies. So, with all that in mind, it ended that we planned this trip just for the 3 of us.

As it was super damn expensive, it was also super damn enjoyable. So keep reading for our escapades in Damai Puri.

Day 1

Our transport was Nat’s Metallic Blue Viva which was emblazed with his stench all over it. Our first objective was to procure all the needed items and those sinful junkies. From the Countryside Market to Spring, we nearly went over 20 kilometers around kuching just to get ready for the trip. Just cause of that, we only manage to reach Damai Puri at about 3pm when the check-in time was like 2 something. Otherwise, we can blame Nat’s slow driving. Or the problem that a Viva can’t go uphill pretty well…

Tambahan pula, it was hella packed plus due to many concerns of their busy schedules, we used that last chance to pick the best date which is also the most expensive and packed.

After like an hour of wait, we finally managed to get a room. And to make matters worst, the room was at the far edge. We had to trudge our sorry feets for about 400 meters before we can even touch our bed. If you think that was bad, it was also supposed to be an ocean view room but all we got was a waterlessfall view. What a nice start towards the vacation.

To make things even much better, we had not only had a television but it was an LCD TV. Now that is what we call.. Hardcore GAMING.

We took sometime just to get the PS2 plug in. Thank god for ~~jeff~~ my expertise.

After we tested the PS2 out with more of annoying Japanese RPG games, it was time for our walk walk. It’s not that we wanted to explore the place but actually we had to fetch Jeff’s newly bought goggles in Nat’s Viva. “Yay, lets go to Nat’s Viva again.” We saw a few things on the way though;

During the night, we retired from all that chlorine and ate our Ta Pau food from Kuching. It tested like cold dish but boy it filled our little hungry stomachs. Some of us also resorted to degrade themselves to cannibals.

After all that oil, we planned to walk out at night just because the cam whorers like we always are. Jeff didn’t followed cause he had to cheer his Lin Dan on. Talk about Malaysian Boleh. So in the end, I and Nat went out into the night to catch some fireflies and camwhore all the way.

1. You Found Me – The Fray (Alternative)

With such awesome songwriting skills, you have to forgive his weird voice. This song seems to touch on something sensitive which is where is god when you need him the most. It is not a praise and worship song, but more like a calling. Somewhat nice in a way. It starts out with a slow beat, with a piano filling up the background. Then comes the drums and electric guitars like any other emo songs nowadays. Though I am not a fan of the chorus, it is still something worth listening to.

2. Breakin – All-American Rejects (Pop Rock)

A song that has not made its debut yet. With a title like that, it seems they never practice proper spelling. It’s a song that you don’t fall in love with it from the first listen but it grows on you as soon as you keep on rolling this song when you left your iTunes in repeat. The verse is a bore to listen to but the guitar in the background seems to be uplifting the song. But when it reaches the pre-chorus, you start to notice something different from the song and the chorus seems to jump right at you. It’s an awesome listen but it needs the time to build in you.

3. Teardrops on my Guitar – Taylor Swift (Country)

An old song I know and possibly a country song. Though this is not my type of genre but it captivated me to listen as the title is simply awesome as the song is. The guitar work is not as amazing as I thought it would be but the lyrics are plain simple and romantic. It tells a story that this ‘girl’ couldn’t get the guy he wants cause he is in a relationship with another hottie. In the end, this is the product.

4. Forever and Always – Taylor Swift (Country)

This song could debut anytime. I can certainly bet on it. This song is the perfect break up song. If it was the boy who initiated the break up. I’m hinting on someone who starts with a R. You should listen to this. The verse is excellent music while the chorus seems to be more a cross from pop and country. But still, I would definitely recommend this song to anyone who is interested in Taylor Swift’s song. This song also is supposedly written for the Taylor and Joe Jonas break up.

Am I missing SPM??

Totally not! There is seem to be a dozen speculation that SPM result will be coming out at 13 March. For now, I still in doubt that it will come out that date. Probably it will be on the 12 March. Or 11 March cause it seems to follow a downward trend as in 2007 it came out at 13, 2008 at 12, 2009… Go figure.

For now, I actually heard that SPM this year will be earlier. When I said earlier, I meant it will start at the 1ST NOVEMBER. Call that luck or insanity.

Here’s the proof. Otherwise it may only be a false alarm.

Now this is a game that has been like overplayed but still is one hell of a game. Yes it does not have the graphics to boot but its still has ongoing competitions around Malaysia and why not we spend a little time fragging people online and making them waiting at least until to the round end. Although you need a genuine copy to play online, but a client call garena made it possible to play online with other people in Malaysia. So what are you waiting for, go frag those n00bs.

4) Burnout Paradise : The Ultimate Box

If you thought taking down AI driven cars was fun, you haven’t gone online yet

For those who are fans of the Burnout Series, this game is a little overwhelming at first since they took a test drive on open world driving (think Midnight Club and GTA) which work remarkably well.

The AI has been improved, they are like a whopping collectable 75 cars in the game, about half a dozen game modes, and whole lot of crashing to do. In online though, taking down another opponent feels just at home especially those mugshots taken when you do take down another person (Mugshots are like screenshots from the webcam that are taken after you took the person down). So go on ahead and take a pirated copy of this game, as it actually can play ONLINE without the real copy (or it’s just my luck^^)

3) Warcraft 3 : Frozen Throne (Defense of the Ancients aka. DOTA)

The most popular game in Malaysia. Besides that, that’s me pwning Churchill.

It’s maybe a game that has alot of haters and fans. Nevertheless, this game manage to convince the crowd that teamwork and owning others is hella fun. The number of heroes in this game is like countless, and the hours you will spend on this game is tremendous according to your preference. But if your looking for a game that doesn’t require too much on system requirements and something that you can spend little to alot of time, and also with the thought overlooking those lamers and criticisms they will throw at you, this is the game for you.

From perks, to attachment of different kinds of weapons. How about calling an airstrike or even better, a chopper? Knifing another person to death? Jumping from 30 feet to get a honor for completing that challenge? Yes there is. Everything you ever wanted is here. So go ahead, kill those annoying Spetnaz with your M14A2 tube. Oh my.. Left 4 Dead also another game that should be played. No wonder its been voted as GOTY (Game of the Year) from several sites. It’s the best cooperative game you can ever find. If you like shooting zombies with your mates, this is the game that you should had owned now. The terrific feeling of surviving the campaign in expert is astonishing. Teamwork is needed to get through this as not only zombies roam the streets of Left 4 Dead, but the special infected are also out to get you. Just be sure you are not too close to the gargantuan tank. If this is not enough for you, it has also an VS mode but this is not as complete as Call of Duty but that does not stop you from playing the Co-op campaign.

Now you know what games that are meant to be played (quote from NVIDIA), so if you excuse me, I got some Zombie Infestation to deal with.

Firstly, Math was too damn easy and ultimately made me do more careless mistakes. WTF! 33/40 for paper 1. That couldn’t be me. Though sadly it is.

Paper 2 was quick to say that it was not too damn hard and easy. But in short, it was still easy as monkey. Though still, think ahead, those Orang Pedalaman have to have their share of education too.

Sadly, I had to pick the most cliché title of them all. I wonder why did they selected stars as one of the selections. The probability of a person picking that is barely 1 over the whole school.

History was History since yesterday!

KBKK was the highlight of the day for History paper. Every nook and crany of 5c 6c 7c 8c 9c, 1e 2e 3e 4e was KBKK question. In short, it means use your brain questions.

With a highlighter and a pen, you jotted down all the notes and highlighted all the printed notes that seems important. In the end, after the second page, you started to slack and flip over and over the other pages and you noticed the last page is 453. You then looked at yourself. This is going to take forever.
